We have known Hailey and Reuben for a few years now.  Introduced by a mutual friend, they have been some of the most welcoming and hospitable people we have ever met.  It feels like we’ve been friends much longer.  We love this couple!  I mean their engagement session was stunning and we could not wait for their wedding.  Your wedding day should be about more than arbitrary colors and a cool theme.  I truly believe it should be a reflection of who you are.  Rueben and Hailey’s day did just that.  From the elegant Indiana State House ceremony to the timeless 1899 reception hall, it was a day to remember.   When the groom and his fraternity brothers hit the dance floor to stroll you could feel the energy, life, and excitement!  This was a true celebration.  But when they linked arm in arm and surrounded the bride to serenade her in song, it brought tears to my eyes to see the bond of brotherhood and how that translates now into his marriage.  It was an awesome sight to see and an amazing celebration to be a part of.  Thank you, Reuben and Hailey, for the honor of capturing your day.   Now enjoy our favorite moments of their day!

Meet Amberly and Brandon Kimmey!  This couple embodied young love to the fullest.  They reminded me of David and I, but don’t get confused, we are still young!   He’s an army man and she is daddy’s little girl.  Together they make the sweetest couple.  Their first look was one of our favorites.  It was a sight to see her almost floating down the stairs to her groom for the first time that day and his reaction, priceless!  It was a magical moment.  Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was perfect.  From the decor to the location and all the way down to the vows it was lovely.   There was no traveling, their guests were able to walk right into their elegant celebration.  Well, there was almost no traveling.  When you are on a golf course you have to ride the carts and we convinced our bride and groom to do just that.  It didn’t take much convincing though, they were pretty adventurous and a lot of fun!  All in all, it was a beautiful day with a beautiful venue and a beautifully in love couple.  What more could you ask for, except for these beautiful pictures to relive it all.  Enjoy!

It is long overdue that we introduce to you, our sweet friends,  Mr. and Mrs. Lee.  They met in college and ended things.  The door to that relationship wasn’t closed though.  Fanesse had a desire to walk in what was best for her life and she left their relationship on a hope and prayer that if it was meant to be it would be.  And in the most beautiful way Deveron walked  back into her life and just like that her prayer was answered!   We had the privilege of capturing their first look at the very spot that they were reunited. They were to be, and how special it was to capture the union of their lives.   Marriage, such an epic new chapter of their love story.   It was such a special moment, with tears of joy, laughter and smiles that would brighten up the darkness.  From that point forward their day was filled with so much joy, love and fun!  I mean Fanesse was tossing around a football at one point!  Why not right!?  It was their day and it was something special to be a part of!   Their day was not just about them, but the ones they loved as well!  That’s the kind of people they are.  They had an entire table with crayons just for kids to enjoy!  As parents of two we know how tricky finding sitters can be…trust me.  But they removed that barrier for their guests.  We would describe the union of Deveron and Fanesse as two people coming together to serve one another and others as well.  Such a beautiful picture!  Now enjoy some of that beauty we were able to capture in these pictures!

Mother’s day was two weeks ago and there were many celebrations.  I am a humble mother of two and along with spending time with my mother and mother in-law, I was lucky to get some much needed rest!  On the day before, however, I got to spend sweet time with special ladies whom I hold dear to my heart.  Parent Life is an organization that seeks to empower, equip and encourage young single mothers.  Once a week I have the privilege of serving with a group of young women in my very own neighborhood and it has been life changing for me.  I went looking to give back but what I’ve gained from the other leaders and the young women themselves has been amazing.   Parent Life is one of the highlights of my week!  In honor of these strong young women we held a Mother’s day celebration.  There was food, games, gifts, nail painting and I was given the opportunity do  some photography.   It was such an honor to be able to use my gifting to bless them.   I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to get photos back after a shoot!  Looking forward to next year!  Until then enjoy a few photos of my friends and their sweet babes!

Allow us to introduce Ali and Clay.   It was an honor to be a part of their day!

The forecast predicted that it would rain all day but to our surprise,  it waited until their wedding was over!  As we prepared to leave that morning it was raining but on our way to Ali’s parents’ house, the rain stopped.  We did not see another raindrop until their send off  and it could not have been more perfect.   Surely this small detail will be told to their kids and kids’ kids.

Something about their ceremony was very powerful and moving.  They made it very clear that their union was not simply about them but it was about the God who brought them together and sharing that love with others.   As members or their bridal party gave speeches one common theme was that these two care deeply about others.  David and I would totally agree with that!  The little time we spent with them we also felt like they truly took interest in getting to know us as learned more about them.  If they can translate that selflessness  to their marriage they have a long wonderful road ahead of them.  Now, enjoy a few moments we were able to capture of their wedding day.
