Meet our friends, sweet Maira and Derek.  This has been a long-anticipated union!   I remember the day I asked Maira to babysit our kids and she was going on one of her first dates with Derek.  Selfishly, I didn’t want to lose one of the best babysitters ever but I am so glad that she and Derek found each other.  I would describe Maira as carefree and Derek as easy going.   Together I am sure that they will live a peaceful life of love.  No marriage is perfect but theirs is based on submission to a greater purpose to be an instrument to display a love greater than their own.   She was a gorgeous bride and him her handsome groom.   The day was such an honor to capture.  The rain held and the sun came out and it all made for a beautiful day.   They just love each other!  What more can you ask than to behold two individuals who choose to place their affections on each other rather than themselves?   That’s beauty and that’s what we aim to capture.  Thank you, Derek and Maira, for loving each other and allowing us to capture the moments you will share for years to come.   We are humbled.

Please allow me to introduce, Melissa and Mike!  They are such a beautiful couple inside and out.  Stress-free and full of joy, that’s how you want your wedding to be and that was their day.  These two were so relaxed and fun to be with.  They bared the cold day and were down for anything.   The results were wonderful pictures.    They started out as neighborhood friends.   There are memories of them attending school and playing kickball together.  Who would have thought that these childhood friends would one day say I do?!  How lucky they are to have married their dearest friend.  When you marry someone you marry their family and this was so evident.  Their families came together seamlessly.  The love, warmth, and unity they shared truly made it feel like one big family affair.  Their day was like an adventure!  They began with preparations at the Conrad and their ceremony was held at the breathtaking Statehouse.  We then took portraits at the NCAA hall of fame, monument circle and then ended at the South of dunes golf course for their reception.   They enjoyed every small moment of their day and you couldn’t help but enjoy yourself too!  From their heartfelt written vows to their swoon-worthy first dance Melissa and Mike definitely made their day one to remember.

This wedding was a  dream!  I mean they had it all!  Beautiful trees, fields, a barn reception, outdoor ceremony, chandeliers, a candy bar, hog roast, giant Jenga, corn hole,  light sabers, and one of my favorite parts of their decor was the seating chart which was hand painted on picture frames by the bride herself.   The best part of this entire wedding was it was at their home!  Like literally we started at the bride’s house, which had a lovely apple tree next to it.  We then went right outside to capture amazing pictures of her, her bridesmaids and her dog of course!  I forgot to mention that this was all at tree farm.  The groom’s parents own a tree farm.  How cool is that!?    Then we rode a golf cart a couple hundred yards back where there was a barn for the reception and chairs set up outside of it for the ceremony.  It was like a dream.   Capturing the beauty of others makes what we do less work and more joy but this couple treated us like friends and family.   Multiple times the bride and groom came around to ask us if we needed anything and to see how we were.   We felt so very welcomed and loved by them and their family as well.   At the end of the night they extended an invitation for us to come back with our children.   How thoughtful of them to invite us back to their home and for us to be able to escape our busy city living.   We can not wait to go back and visit!

Introducing Jenelle and Pedro!  What an amazing couple! Their love and excitement jumps from every photo.  Not only was the day about this amazing couple but also their two great families  coming together. It was obvious that they cherished their families. Their bridal party was made up of their siblings.  This entire day was truly a celebration from the musical sounds of the mariachi band to them dancing the night away.  Let us not forget about the Mexican food (Fist pump).  Please take a moment to enjoy their amazing wedding photos.

We have known Hailey and Reuben for a few years now.  Introduced by a mutual friend, they have been some of the most welcoming and hospitable people we have ever met.  It feels like we’ve been friends much longer.  We love this couple!  I mean their engagement session was stunning and we could not wait for their wedding.  Your wedding day should be about more than arbitrary colors and a cool theme.  I truly believe it should be a reflection of who you are.  Rueben and Hailey’s day did just that.  From the elegant Indiana State House ceremony to the timeless 1899 reception hall, it was a day to remember.   When the groom and his fraternity brothers hit the dance floor to stroll you could feel the energy, life, and excitement!  This was a true celebration.  But when they linked arm in arm and surrounded the bride to serenade her in song, it brought tears to my eyes to see the bond of brotherhood and how that translates now into his marriage.  It was an awesome sight to see and an amazing celebration to be a part of.  Thank you, Reuben and Hailey, for the honor of capturing your day.   Now enjoy our favorite moments of their day!
